Ajmal Khan Vice Chancellor Islamia College University Kidnapping
IS ANYONE LISTENING
It is almost 1 year since Ajmal Khan, vice chancellor, Islamia College University, Peshawar is kidnapped. He has been teaching in Edward College Peshawar, Gomal University, D.I.Khan Islamia College University Peshawar and so on. He has dedicated his life to education and the youth of the province.
An educationist was kidnapped in broad daylight from the most secure area of Peshawar, a year has passed since and no news of him. The last time he was heard of was in March,2011 when his wife tried to contact him. Then he was with the TTP (tehrik Taliban Pakistan) in Miranshah. They wanted a big ransom which the poor wife couldn’t afford. Then she was asked by the authorities to back off. The last time she contacted him, he was in Miranshah and since then there is no news about him.
Ajmal Khan's family is in tremendous pain as it is a year since he was kidnapped. He has no male heirs and the government is quiet about the whole affair. The govt has not been able to secure his freedom or even come near it during all this time. Every time the family makes an effort the govt discourages them the govt will neither share any progress with them nor let the family make an effort. Only his family is suffering, the rest no one seems bothered. Neither the provincial govt nor the intelligence agencies have extended any support to the family. They are all alone in enduring the pain without any hope in the future. When the family and the students of Islamia University wanted to take to the streets the govt stopped them
Assuring them early recovery of the VC. But the last whole year speaks volumes of the govt and agencies efficiency.
Just imagine if something like this happens to any of us, what are we supposed to-do? Leave it to the government to tackle it ?Funny, Ansar Burney went all the way to Somalia to get Pakistani sailors, Egyptiansand Indians released. Mr Burney you have done more than Zardari, Asfandyar Rehman Malik and their Agencies could do. Does anyone care, is any one pushed, IS ANYONELISTENING
It’s getting late Mr Corp Commander, Mr CM, Mr Asfandyar and Mr Governor. Once we come out on the streets then there will be no stopping.
